P × V = n × R × T R = 8.314462618 J/(mol·K)
The ideal gas law relates pressure, volume, amount and absolute temperature of a gas. It is close for air and most gases at everyday pressures and temperatures, and drifts at high pressure or near condensation, where real-gas equations are needed. Temperature must be absolute, so Celsius and Fahrenheit are converted to kelvin first.
