nPr
Permutations Calculator
How many ordered arrangements of r items can be taken from n, exactly.

How it's calculated
Without repetition: P(n, r) = n! ÷ (n − r)! With repetition: n^r
Permutations count arrangements where order matters: podium finishes, PIN codes, seating plans. A 4-digit PIN is 10^4 = 10,000 with repetition. The count is exact (whole-number arithmetic); large results show in scientific notation with the exact digits below when they fit.
