Calculating without an account

The numbers you type into a calculator are worked out in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored, unless you are signed in (see saved history below). The numbers can appear in the page address so that a link reopens the same answer; that address stays in your browser unless you share it.

Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which calculators people use and fix what doesn't work, the site records simple events: a page view, a calculator being used, a search typed into the site's search boxes, and a result being copied or shared. Each event can include:

  • the page address and, for calculators, which calculator and field it was;
  • the words typed into the site's own search boxes (up to 80 characters);
  • the website that linked to us (its host name only) and any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign);
  • device type (phone, tablet or desktop), browser and operating system names, screen width, time zone and language setting;
  • how long the page stayed open;
  • a random visitor ID and a random visit ID kept in your browser's local storage, so repeat visits can be counted;
  • your account ID, if you are signed in.

We do not store your IP address or build a fingerprint of your device in these statistics, and they are not shared with advertisers or analytics companies. Events are deleted automatically after about 13 months. Automated visitors such as search engine crawlers are not counted.

If you sign in, your account is linked to the random visitor ID of each browser you use. Site administrators can then see your account's usage together with the earlier anonymous events from those browsers, including searches typed before you signed in. Other visitors and users cannot see them.

If you create an account

An account is optional. If you create one, we store:

  • your e-mail address, your name if you give it, and your password, which is stored only in hashed form by our sign-in provider;
  • if you sign in with Google: the name, e-mail address and profile photo Google shares with us;
  • when your account was created and when you were last active;
  • your saved history: each answer's calculator, the inputs you entered, the results, your notes and whether you pinned it.

You can edit or delete any saved answer, or clear your whole history, at any time from your history and account settings. To delete your account entirely, or to get a copy of your data, write to contact@calculatorverse.online from the address you signed up with.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. The site also keeps a few small settings in your browser's local storage: light or dark theme, currency symbol, list or grid view, history filters, whether you closed the sign-in banner, a note of the calculator you were on when you went to sign in (kept for 30 minutes so you come back to the same answer), and the random visitor and visit IDs described above. For the length of one visit, session storage also remembers whether the visit has been counted yet and which saved answer you opened to edit. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in. It stores accounts, saved history and the usage statistics.
  • Railway: hosting. It serves the website.
  • Google: only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.

Like any web host, these providers process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service, under their own privacy policies.

Children

CalculatorVerse is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If what we collect changes, we will update this page and its date. Questions about privacy: contact@calculatorverse.online.
