Triangle Area Calculator
A triangle's area from base and height, from three sides, or from two sides and the angle between them.
Result…
How it's calculated
Area = base × height ÷ 2 Heron: s = (a + b + c) ÷ 2, Area = √(s(s − a)(s − b)(s − c)) Two sides and angle: Area = ½ × a × b × sin C
Finds a triangle's area three ways: from a base and its perpendicular height, from all three sides (Heron's formula) or from two sides and the angle between them. Three sides only make a triangle if each is shorter than the other two together. Angles are in degrees.
