v
Velocity Calculator
Work out a velocity from distance and time, or a final velocity from a start speed and an acceleration.

How it's calculated
v = d ÷ t (average) v = u + a × t v² = u² + 2 × a × s
Velocity is speed with a direction, so a negative answer means the object is moving the other way. The last two equations hold only when the acceleration is constant, as in free fall without air resistance or steady braking.
